Dr. Erica graduated from the University of Louisville and went on to specialize in public health at an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. She is currently awaiting her induction into the Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry this upcoming July and has completed over 500 hours of continuing education in her pursuit of fellowship. She holds professional memberships with the Academy of General Dentistry and Spear Education as well as volunteers for the Donated Dental Service program.  

Her favorite quote is by Maya Angelou, which says, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” She feels this reflects her mission in dentistry, which is to serve with all her heart and to make people’s lives better. She hopes to do this by serving with evidence-based clinical treatment recommendations that are individualized to meet each unique need. She is excited for an opportunity to serve in a new community with demonstrated need for quality care.  

In her free time, Dr. Erica enjoys painting, salsa dancing, and exercising. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Hugo, four children — Averick, Lily, Leo, and Lizbeth — and her dog, Carlos.
