Dr. Sonia Alex

Dr. Sonia Alex has a passion for dentistry. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Madras, India, in 1992. She graduated from IU School of Dentistry in 1999 in the top 10% of her class.
Prior to joining Gentle Dentist, Dr. Alex was a Clinical Instructor at the IU School of Dentistry. In addition, she served as a Clinical Consultant for practices in Illinois and Michigan and as an Associate for several years at a group practice in Indianapolis. She has published an article on “The Basics of Oral Sedation.”
Dr. Alex is committed to keeping abreast of technological advancements, as she is dedicated to providing her patients the best possible treatment options. She has taken expanded courses in endodontics, implants, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Alex’s approach is to treat her patients gently and make them feel comfortable while in her care. If they choose to do so, patients have an option of oral sedation and nitrous oxide to lessen any anxiety.
Dr. Alex is a member of American Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Alex has resided in Indianapolis since 1996 with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys movies, photography, traveling and spending time with her family.
Dr. Brikhna Atmar

Dr. Atmar graduated from IUPUI where she completed her Bachelors in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated in 2000 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduating Dr. Atmar was the recipient of the Excellence in Prosthodontics Waterpik Award. She completed a one-year general practice residency at Wishard Hospital in 2001 and then was asked to stay on board to continue teaching. Dr. Atmar taught chairside oral surgery to third and fourth year dental students and residents.
Dr. Atmar has been full time with Gentle Dentist since completing her residency in 2001. Her philosophy is to provide the best care possible and to treat every patient as she would want to be treated. Dr. Atmar says an important rule to remember is that the best way to maintain a radiant smile is to prevent problems before they start, through regular brushing, flossing and dental checkups. Dr. Atmar is a member of the American Dental Association and Indiana Dental Association.
Dr. Atmar lives in Zionsville with her husband and their four children. They have three girls and one boy. Dr. Atmar enjoys cooking for her family, and spending as much time with them as she can. She also enjoys traveling whether it is quick getaways with her family or long trips abroad to visit family and friends.
Dr. Michael Craney

Dr. Michael Craney is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Indiana University—Purdue University Indianapolis. Dr. Craney recently relocated from Birmingham, Alabama, where he practiced and provided comprehensive treatment, including restorative, endodontic, oral surgery and prosthodontic services while using the latest technology to make a more comfortable experience for the patient. He loves to focus on his patients by providing education to help them maintain or improve their overall oral health.
Dr. Craney is an avid Indiana University sports fan, especially football and basketball. In addition, he enjoys watching Sprint car races from all over the country.
Dr. Dana Goff

Dr. Dana Goff is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology with a minor in chemistry from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Goff is passionate about restorative dentistry, helping patients feel confident in their smile, and achieving good oral health. She loves how dentistry allows her to work closely with her patients while being in a profession focused on the blend of medicine, science, and artistry.
Dr. Goff lives in Indianapolis and enjoys spending time with family — especially her baby niece — and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and baking as well as studying languages and history.
Dr. Jeff Grasser

Dr. Jeff Grasser is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a degree in dental surgery. Prior to dental school, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in invertebrate zoology with a minor in chemistry from Memphis State University. He has extensive experience in providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. Dr. Grasser chose to become a dentist because his own personal experience with dentists was not always positive. He wanted to help others have great experiences while improving their smiles and overall health.
Dr. Grasser enjoys meeting and being with people, working in the yard, hiking, traveling and volunteering with various organizations.
Dr. Amanda Harris

Born in California but raised on a farm in Kentucky, Dr. Amanda Harris moved to Indianapolis in 2014. She went to Murray State University in Kentucky and graduated with honors with a B.S. in Chemistry and a minor in Biology. Dr. Harris is a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) graduate from University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She spent her time learning the art of dentistry and using what free time she had to continue to learn and do volunteer work in the community.
Dr. Harris is an active member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society. Dr. Harris loves spending time getting to know her patients and educating them on the importance of taking care of their teeth. She believes that prevention is key to a healthy smile. She looks forward to welcoming you into our family.
Dr. Harris lives in Indianapolis in a small stone house that she is slowly turning into a home. In her spare time, she loves to read, try new food, and watch movies. She tries to travel and visit family when she gets the chance.
Dr. Erica Hunt-Guzman

Dr. Erica graduated from the University of Louisville and went on to specialize in public health at an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. She is currently awaiting her induction into the Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry this upcoming July and has completed over 500 hours of continuing education in her pursuit of fellowship. She holds professional memberships with the Academy of General Dentistry and Spear Education as well as volunteers for the Donated Dental Service program.
Her favorite quote is by Maya Angelou, which says, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” She feels this reflects her mission in dentistry, which is to serve with all her heart and to make people’s lives better. She hopes to do this by serving with evidence-based clinical treatment recommendations that are individualized to meet each unique need. She is excited for an opportunity to serve in a new community with demonstrated need for quality care.
In her free time, Dr. Erica enjoys painting, salsa dancing, and exercising. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Hugo, four children — Averick, Lily, Leo, and Lizbeth — and her dog, Carlos.
Dr. Kieun Kim

Dr. Kieun Kim is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, she received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Denver. Dr. Kim is passionate about dentistry because it gives her the opportunity to help patients with their health and smile. She strongly believes in preventive dentistry and educating patients on good oral care so that patients can have a confident smile.
Dr. Kim grew up in Colorado. She currently lives in Indianapolis and enjoys hiking, traveling and cooking. She is also fluent in Korean.
Dr. Jie Li

Dr. Jie Li is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, she received two degrees from IUPUI, a Bachelor of General Studies degree and Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene. Dr. Li is passionate about dentistry. She spent five years as a dental hygienist prior to finishing her bachelor’s degree to pursue dental school. Dentistry gives her the opportunity to promote dental health, to build long-term relationships with her patients, and help her patients regain functions of broken and missing teeth.
Dr. Li lives in Indianapolis with her husband, two children, and a golden retriever, Ruby. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, volunteering, traveling, cooking and baking. She is also fluent in Mandarin.
Dr. Harpravjeet Malhi

Dr. Harpravjeet Malhi is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in business from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Dr. Malhi moved to the United States when he was three years old to Sacramento, California. After leaving California in 2006, he moved to Indiana and has called Greenwood home ever since. Dr. Malhi loves dentistry because of its impact on a patient’s total health. He enjoys restoring and maintaining healthy smiles for his patients so they can be happy, healthy, and confident.
Dr. Malhi lives in Greenwood, Indiana and enjoys taking care of his Siberian husky. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and playing basketball.
Dr. Kirk Mustard is an Indiana University graduate, receiving his DDS degree in 1992.
Before joining the Gentle Dentist team in 2003, he practiced as a staff dentist and educator at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that, he was a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service, where he worked on the Gila River Indian Reservation.
Dr. Mustard strives to create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for his patients at every visit. This combined with his passion and dedication makes for a great experience. Dr. Mustard is very active in his local community with service projects to promote dental health.
Dr. Anne Neitzke

Dr. Anne Neitzke ( pronounced, “Night-Ski”) , grew up in Elkhart, Indiana. She graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1986. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Anne graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1996.
Anne and her husband, Robert, whom she met in high school, reside in Indianapolis. He works for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana. Robert’s job has taken him to many countries worldwide. They have two children, Max and Lola. Anne has worked at Knightstown Gentle Dentist since 2003. Anne’s hobbies include spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, and playing with her two cherished cockapoo puppies, Pickles and Juneau.
One of the many reasons Dr. Anne chose dentistry as a profession is that she had a grandfather who was, and brother who is a dentist. She saw how much they enjoyed the profession, and encouraged her to pursue the same career. She is grateful for the kind dentists she had over the years who coached her through the fears of her own dental appointments as a child. Dr Anne enjoys helping others get through their dental fears, as well. She likes to really get to know her patients of all ages and help them achieve healthy teeth and beautiful smiles. She has always been very happy with her choice in careers.
Dr. Sharon Paluga

Dr. Paluga has been the New Palestine Gentle Dentist since she graduated from dental school in 1996. She grew up in Northwest Indiana and earned both her undergraduate and dental degrees at Indiana University.
Dr. Paluga lives in New Palestine with her husband and two children. You may run into her at Frosty Boy or the football fields. Dr. Paluga enjoys spending time with her family and plays golf whenever she can.
Dr. Paluga’s philosophy is that comprehensive, preventive dental care is an essential part of an effective plan to improve patients’ overall health and well being.
Dr. Paluga’s office features state-of-the-art digital x-ray technology. Her staff consists of two hygienists with over 20 years combined experience, two expanded duties chair-side dental assistants who will do whatever it takes to make your visit an enjoyable one. In addition, her office manager and business assistant can help with insurance, making appointments, and any financial questions you may have before, during or after your visit.
Dr. Joseph Parker

Dr. Joseph Parker was born in California, and when he was 12 years old, he moved to Canada with his family. Following high school, Dr. Parker moved to New Mexico to serve a 2-year mission. After his mission, he then moved to Indiana to pursue his dream of becoming a dentist. He attended the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Biology before earning a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.
Dr. Parker feels it is his mission to enrich the lives of others through the art and science of dentistry. He believes that it is his responsibility to provide the best treatment options to his patients. When providing treatment, he strives for excellence.
Dr. Parker is married with five children and has a little Yorkie named Trixie. When he is not at the office, he enjoys spending time at home with family, exercising, playing sports, volunteering, serving in the community, and watching movies.
Dr. Diane Scearce

Dr. Diane Scearce has practiced dentistry for 13 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from Millikin University and her dental degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Scearce enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially meeting and helping her patients, providing personalized and compassionate care. She and her husband have three children. In her free time, Dr. Scearce enjoys traveling with her family and experiencing new culinary adventures.
Dr. Phillip Stahl

Dr. Stahl is an Indiana native who completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Butler University in 2003. He has practiced in Indiana since graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2007.
While he is an experienced general dentist, he takes a special interest in surgery and placing implants and takes pride in providing patients with the best possible care. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Indiana Dental Association. Dr. Stahl is also a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics.
In his free time, Dr. Stahl loves to travel, watch movies, learn about astronomy, and spend time with his twin boys. He is a long-time Butler basketball fan and enjoys watching every game of the season with his family.
Dr. Jim Wines

Dr. Wines earned his D.D.S. degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1994. He is a graduate of the world famous Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies and Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society.
Dr. Wines has been published in the local newspapers and national dental journals regarding cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He not only follows strict guidelines of the American Dental Association but goes well beyond them. He attends extensive seminars, workshop, and lectures.
Dr. Wines has been chosen as one of “America’s Top Dentist” by the Consumers Research Council of America Base in Washington D.C.
